Snap Downs

 

Snap downs are a nice way to introduce landing mechanics to basketballers, whether it be part of a rehabilitation program or a warm up.

The examples in this video demonstate finishing in a bilateral or split squat. Another progression is to Snap Down onto a single leg only.

Key tips:

Think “Tall to Short”

Pull yourself down as quickly as possible into the final squat position

Avoid swaying side to side in the wind
